The Beginning of My Fitness Journey

After years of neglecting my physical health, I finally decided to make a change and started going to the gym regularly. At first, I was only able to squeeze in a workout before or after work, but I noticed that I would often skip the gym after a long day at the office. This made me realize that I needed to find a more consistent and convenient time to exercise, and that's when I started doing morning workouts.

Waking Up Early for Exercise

Initially, waking up at 5:30 am to work out seemed daunting. I'm not a morning person, and the thought of losing precious sleep was not very appealing. However, I reminded myself that the benefits of morning exercise far outweighed the temporary discomfort of waking up early. Not only did I have more energy throughout the day, but I also felt more productive and focused at work.

Creating a Morning Routine

One of the keys to making morning workouts a habit was to establish a routine. This meant going to bed earlier, so that I could get the recommended 7-8 hours of sleep. I also made sure to lay out my workout clothes and pack my gym bag the night before, so that I could easily grab them in the morning. Additionally, I started incorporating a few minutes of meditation or stretching before my workout to help calm my mind and loosen up my muscles.

Not only did it allow me to be more consistent with my exercise, but it also gave me a sense of accomplishment and motivation to start my day.
