Part I: Listening

The listening section of the 2023 English four-level exam has undergone some changes. Unlike previous exams, the listening test now includes three parts instead of four. Part III: Speaking

The speaking section of the 2023 English four-level exam has undergone some significant changes. Instead of two parts, there are now three: picture description, cross-talk, and free-speaking. In the picture description section, test-takers will be shown a picture and asked to describe it in detail. The cross-talk section involves two test-takers and a conversation between them on a given topic. The free-speaking section allows test-takers to speak on any topic for 2-3 minutes without interruption from the examiner.
